FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven's volleyball team beat Seminole State College, 25-19, 18-25, 25-19, 25-15, Wednesday.
McKenzie Mitchell had a season-high 14 kills, 14 digs, two blocks, three aces and hit .290 for the seventh-ranked Bears. Holland Hickman and Caroline Simpson each had nine kills, and Lyrick Bridges added eight. Hickman had a .348 attack percentage. Simpson had nine digs, and Bridges five blocks.
Mia Gonzalez had 17 assists, 11 digs and an ace. Fiona Larsen had 13 digs and an ace.
The Bears finished with seven aces.
Brookhaven (6-8) will host Rose State College (1-5) at 2 p.m. Saturday.
