Bio

Robert Williams was named an assistant coach of Dallas College Brookhaven women's soccer team in 2015.

He is responsible for recruiting, player development, on-field coaching and administrative duties. 

In Williams' tenure coaching with the Bears, Brookhaven has captured National Junior College Athletic Association Division III national championships in 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023. Through 2024, Brookhaven has won eight Dallas Athletic Conference or Metro Athletic Conference regular season titles and eight district championships. Brookhaven has compiled a 132-29-12 record since Williams was named an assistant coach.

In 2024, the Bears finished third at the NJCAA Division III national tournament. They went 13-3-3 overall, 7-0-3 in the DAC, winning the league and NJCAA Division III South District titles. Forward Gianna Antovoni and goalkeeper Brianna Flores were named First Team All-Americans, and midfielder Kate Carlson was a Second Team All-American.

In 2023, Williams coached on a staff that guided the Bears to a third straight NJCAA Division III National Championship. They defeated Delta College Brookhaven went 15-2-1 overall, 7-0-1 in the conference, winning the DAC and South District championships, while running off 11 straight wins to end the season. The Bears posted 11 shutouts. Kaley Robison was named United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Year. Four Bears earned NJCAA Division III All-America honors. Williams was a member of a staff that was named the United Soccer Coaches East Region Coaching Staff of the Year.

In 2022, Brookhaven repeated as national champions, beating Mohawk Valley Community College in the title game. The Bears went 16-0-1 overall, 9-0-1 in the DAC, capturing the league and district titles. Brookhaven recorded 14 shutouts, including 13 in a row. Three players were named NJCAA Division III All-Americans. Williams received the 2022 Black Soccer Legend Assistant Coach of the Year award from the Black Soccer Coaches Community. He was also a part of a staff that earned the NJCAA Region V Soccer Coaching Staff of the Year honor.

In 2021, Williams helped coach a team that won the NJCAA Division III National Championship. Brookhaven beat Delta College to win the national title. The Bears went 18-1 overall, 10-0 in the DAC, rattling off 16 consecutive wins to end the season. They won the DAC and Mid-South District championships.

In the COVID-altered 2020 season moved to the spring of 2021, Brookhaven finished as the national runner-up. The Bears posted a 12-1-0 overall, 8-0 DAC record, winning the league and South District titles. They did not allow a goal during the conference-only regular season and district tournament, outscoring those 10 opponents 64-0. The Bears also shut out Rowan College South Jersey - Gloucester in the national semifinals before falling in the national championship game to Delta College.

In 2019, Williams helped lead the Bears to the NJCAA Division III National Championship. Brookhaven beat Delta College to win it all. The Bears went 17-0-1 overall, 9-0-1 in the DAC, claiming the conference and NJCAA Region V championships. Brookhaven won 11 straight games to end the season, and posted 13 shutouts during the year.

In 2018, Brookhaven went 11-2-1 overall, 7-0-1 in the DAC to win the conference title. The Bears advanced to the NJCAA District F championship. 

In 2017, Williams helped Brookhaven capture its first NJCAA Division III National Championship. The Bears beat Herkimer College 2-1 in overtime to win the title. That capped a season in which they went 14-3-1 overall, 8-1-1 in the MAC. Brookhaven won the MAC and District F championships. The Bears won eight straight games to finish the season. They posted nine shutouts during the year, including seven during an eight-game stretch.

In 2016, the Bears finished third at the national tournament. In one season, Brookhaven's win total increased by 10 as the Bears went 13-4-3 overall, 7-1-2 in the MAC.  They won the Region V title. 

In his first year in 2015, Williams coached on a team that went 3-13-1 overall, 2-7-1 in the MAC. The Bears advanced to the Region V semifinals.
