DALLAS – Dallas College Brookhaven women's soccer team beat shorthanded Dallas College Mountain View, 10-0, Tuesday.
The Bears' 10 goals were a season high.
Lauren Moore scored four goals, netting her first career hat trick. Maradith Baker had two goals and an assist, and Gianna Antovoni scored a goal, and had two assists. Daniela Porto had a goal and an assist. Brisa Hernandez assisted on two goals.
The No. 2-ranked Bears (7-2-3, 5-0-3 Dallas Athletic Conference) attempted 35 shots, including 16 on goal. Goalkeeper Brianna Flores did not face a shot.
Moore scored the game's first goal in the 18th minute on an assist from Alex Goncalves. Antovoni assisted on the next two goals, which came two minutes apart. Baker found the back of the net on the first of those two in the 36th minute, and Porto scored the second in the 38th minute to make it 3-0.
Mariah Lewis scored in the 41st minute on a setup from Addison Hanner. Moore picked up her second goal a minute later on an assist from Baker.
The Bears led 5-0 at halftime.
Brookhaven, which got off 22 of its 35 shots in the second half, cashed in two minutes after the intermission when Antovoni scored on a feed from Hernandez. Five minutes later, Hernandez connected with Moore, who deposited the ball in the net for the hat trick.
Moore picked up her fourth goal in the 62nd minute on an assist from Magalee Rivas. Taylor Fleming scored in the 71st minute on a setup from Porto. Baker capped the scoring with less than seven minutes left in the game on an assist from Amanda Rocha.
The 10 goals were the most since the Bears beat Community College of Rhode Island, 10-1, in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III quarterfinals last year. Brookhaven scored 12 goals in a shutout victory over Mountain View last year.
The Bears play at Dallas College Eastfield (4-8-2, 2-4-2) at 7 p.m. Friday.
