FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven shut out Dallas College North Lake, 3-0, Tuesday night to begin the second half of the Dallas Athletic Conference women's soccer season.
The Bears, ranked No. 2 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll, outshot the Blazers, 17-8.
Natalia Banda had a goal and an assist for Brookhaven (5-2-3, 3-0-3). Amanda Rocha and Lauren Moore also scored for the Bears.
Moore put Brookhaven on the board in the third minute on an assist from Banda. It was Moore's third goal of the year.
Banda made it 2-0 in the seventh minute when she scored an unassisted goal. It was her second of the year.
Rocha's goal came in the 90th minute on an assist from Gianna Antovoni. It was her second of the season.
Brookhaven goalkeeper Brianna Flores (5-2-3) made five saves in the shutout. It was her fourth clean sheet this season. North Lake keeper Emely Vargas (3-4-3) had four saves.
