Murillo Picked as DAC Offensive Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven's Gracie Murillo was selected as the Dallas Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

A sophomore forward from Carrollton, Texas, Murillo scored two goals and had two assists in No. 2 nationally-ranked Brookhaven's 7-0 win at Dallas College Mountain View to help the Bears secure their first conference win. It was her first multi-goal game this year and the second of her career – both coming against Mountain View.

Her six points against the Lions last week is a career high.

She attempted six shots in the win at Mountain View and six more in the scoreless draw at No. 9 Dallas College Cedar Valley, creating most of Brookhaven's offense last week.

Murillo leads the Bears with four goals and two assists for 10 points this year.

Brookhaven (3-2-2, 1-0-2 DAC) will host Dallas College Eastfield (3-6-0, 1-2-0) at 7 p.m. Friday.
