Bears Collect Four NJCAA All-Academic Honors

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven women's soccer team had four student-athletes who earned National Junior College Athletic Association All-Academic honors.

Freshman Meah Perez was named a First Team All-Academic selection after posting a 4.0 grade point average in the 2022-23 academic year. In order to earn First Team honors, a student-athlete must complete at least 24 credit hours, and post a 4.0 GPA for the academic year. Students who graduate in December are not required to complete 24 credits.

Freshmen Allyson Kolba, Bailey Clark and Aliyana Obregon each were named Third Team All-Academic honorees. To be eligible for Third Team, a student-athlete must carry a GPA between 3.6-3.79 and complete the necessary credits for the school year.

Perez, a defender/forward from Grand Prairie, Texas, had four goals and one assist for nine points in eight games with the Bears last year.

Clark, a defender from Corinth, Texas, finished with four goals and two assists for 10 points. Kolba, a defender from Denton, Texas, had three assists. Obregon, a midfielder from Dallas, had four assists.
