Bears to Host NJCAA DIII South Central District Quarterfinals Tuesday

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas -- Dallas College Brookhaven men's basketball will host the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District Tournament quarterfinals Tuesday night.

The Bears finished third in the Dallas Athletic Conference, and earned the No. 3 seed and right to host the first round of the postseason tournament. They will meet Dallas College Eastfield at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Bears Den. Dallas College Cedar Valley and Dallas College Mountain View will play in the second quarterfinal.

Dallas College Richland won the DAC regular season title, and along with Dallas College North Lake, will receive a bye into Thursday's semifinals. The semifinals and championship games will be played Thursday and Saturday at Richland.

The champion advances to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament March 12-15 in Herkimer, New York.

North Lake won last year's district title.

Tournament passes for admittance to all games will be sold for $15. Adults single-day passes are $8. Students and children under 18 single-day passes are $5. Children under 6 are free. Dallas College students and staff with current IDs are free. Tournament programs will be sold for $2.
