Bears Run Win Streak to 4 in a Row Entering Holiday Hiatus
UNIVERSAL CITY, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven's men's basketball team ran its winning streak to four straight games after beating Northeast Lakeview College, 85-70, Saturday.
The win sends the Bears (9-7) into the month-long holiday break two games above the .500 mark.
Jackson Lino had 15 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and a block in 25 minutes of playing time. He was 7 of 9 from the floor. Richard Adewale-Safa scored 15 points, and grabbed five boards, while shooting 6 of 8. Sean Moreno had 10 points.
The Bears led by three at halftime before outscoring Northeast Lakeview, 43-31, in the second half.
Brookhaven shot 53 percent from the field, despite shooting 8 of 28 from three-point range.
Zach Gomez had nine points, five assists and two steals. Dirk Falkenhagen and Jon-Michael Johnson each had eight points.
The Bears will host Loyalty College Prep Jan. 9 to begin a four-game homestand, which concludes with the start of Dallas Athletic Conference play against Dallas College Cedar Valley Saturday, Jan. 20.
