Men's Basketball Takes 7-7 Record into Semester-Ending Road Swing
FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven men's basketball team takes a 7-7 record into a pair of road games to close the semester.
Brookhaven plays at Strength 'N Motion 6:30 p.m. Friday and at Northeast Lakeview College 1 p.m. Saturday before shutting down for a month prior to the Jan. 9 home game against Loyalty College Prep to begin the second half of the season.
The Bears won their second straight game Wednesday, beating Loyalty College Prep, 81-74, after putting up a 111-100 victory at Western Oklahoma State College Saturday.
Brookhaven is 3-5 on the road this season.
Curtis Trey Moffett leads the Bears in scoring at 15.4 points, and is shooting 49 percent. Terrell Palmer is averaging 10.6 points. Richard Adewale-Safa is averaging 9.2 points, and shooting 52.4 percent. Zach Gomez is scoring nine points. Jesse Klein is good for 8.5 points, while shooting 50 percent from the field and 45 percent from the 3-point line. Grant Jessen is scoring 8.3 points per game, while pulling down a team-best 5.9 rebounds per game. Jackson Lino is averaging 8.1 points and 5.4 boards, and Dirk Falkenhagen 7.4 points on a team-high 59.5 percent shooting.
The Bears have wins over three National Junior College Athletic Association Division I opponents and one NJCAA Division II school. Brookhaven competes at the NJCAA Division III level.
