Nava Selected as DAC Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven's Isaiah Nava was selected as the Dallas Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week.
A sophomore infielder from Pasadena, Texas, Nava blasted four home runs, including a grand slam, while going 8 for 21 for a .381 average as the Bears went 3-2 last week. He had three hits, including the grand slam and a double, in a 16-5 win over Dallas College Mountain View to wrap up a three-game sweep. He had two hits, including a pair of bombs, while driving in five runs in a 15-9 win over the Lions to open the series with a win. He hit safely in all five games during the week.
Nava is batting .377 with six home runs, 25 RBI and 15 stolen bases this season.
Brookhaven (16-16, 4-5 DAC) plays at Northeast Texas Community College 1 p.m. Monday before beginning a three-game league series at Dallas College Cedar Valley (10-15, 1-8) noon Wednesday.
