Baseball Takes 4-0 Record into Cisco Saturday

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven's baseball team won its fourth consecutive game to open the season, beating The Complete Showcase Post Grad, 15-5, Wednesday.
The Bears have scored 10 or more runs in each of their four wins.
Brookhaven scored twice in the bottom of the fourth to grab a three-run lead. The Bears added five more in the sixth before TCS Post Grad put four runs on the board in its next two at-bats. But Brookhaven busted out with six more in the bottom half of the eighth to decide the game with a 10-run rule victory.
Outfielders Caden Roeschen and Mason Gilliam each went 3-for-5, and collected a combined seven walks between them. Roeschen homered, and had three runs batted in. Gilliam tripled, drove in a pair of runs, and had three stolen bases. Designated hitter Bo Dinscore was 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double.
Third baseman Joshua Schroeder was 1-for-3 with a triple, an RBI, three stolen bases and three walks. First baseman Hunter Pope was 1-for-4 with an RBI. Left fielder Landon Kerkmaz had a triple in five at-bats. Pinch hitter Caden Sisson had a sacrifice fly to drive in a run.
The Bears outhit TCS, 11-7.
Grant Colson picked up his first win of the season in relief, going two innings without allowing a base runner, and striking out one. Starter Caleb Bradford pitched three innings, allowing three hits, an unearned run and no walks with one strikeout. Stephen Carrell worked one inning of scoreless relief, allowing two walks and no hits.
Brookhaven will play a doubleheader at Cisco College noon Saturday.
