Farias Named DAC Defensive Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven's Stephanie Farias was named the Dallas tAthletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

A sophomore defender from McKinney, Texas, Farias helped the No. 2-ranked Bears put up one shutout after giving up their first goal of the season to a DAC opponent in a 4-1 win at Dallas College North Lake. In the 5-0 shutout win at Dallas College Eastfield, Farias, who moonlights as a midfielder, also had three assists.

The shutout was the Bears' sixth this season.

Brookhaven (7-2-1, 6-0-1 DAC) will host Dallas College Mountain View 6 p.m. Tuesday and No. 3 Dallas College Richland 6 p.m. Friday.
